PeerTube

PeerTube is a decentralized, ActivityPub-federated video hosting platform where independent servers (instances) each host their own videos while remaining discoverable and interconnected across the wider network. Built by the French non-profit Framasoft since 2017, it uses peer-to-peer delivery to share bandwidth load among viewers, offers live streaming via RTMP, and integrates with the broader Fediverse so Mastodon users can follow channels directly. Each instance sets its own moderation rules, and there is no central authority controlling the network, no algorithmic recommendation engine, and no advertising.
