Paperless-ngx

Paperless-ngx is a self-hosted document management system that ingests scanned PDFs, images, and emails, runs them through Tesseract OCR, and automatically assigns tags, correspondents, and document types using machine learning. Documents are archived in the long-term PDF/A format alongside their originals, with full-text search, custom metadata fields, and configurable workflows for automating the entire consumption pipeline. As the community-maintained successor to the original Paperless and Paperless-ng projects, it distributes ongoing development responsibility across a dedicated maintainer team.
